Grilled Crunchy Asparagus

We are not much of the canned asparagus eaters. Far too soggy for us. We prefer fresh and as you know fresh tastes better.

Cooking it on the grill is a fast and delicious way to eat it. We put it on while we cook our meats. Check out our Lemon Herb Chicken recipe for the chicken featured in this photo.

Ingredients-

12 pieces of freshly washed/dried Asparagus stalks
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of melted butter
pinch of coarse salt
pinch of cracked black pepper

Place all 5 ingredients in a zip-top gallon bag. Let the Asparagus marinade for a short time. Massage the bag so the stalks are well coated.

On a hot grill, place the asparagus against the direction of the grill top so they don’t fall through the grill slots. Watch them carefully. Let them roll over to grill evenly on all sides. Will cook in total for 4-5 minutes.

They come out crispy and crunchy with  a nice buttery taste to them!! Very fast and delicious to add to any meal!!
