Youth Activity- Mutual – Human Hungry Hungry Hippos

This activity was NOT created by me. The Youth discussed this at one of their meetings and someone suggested it and made it happen. The parents all came together bringing what was needed for the event.

Balloons, Laundry Baskets, Helmets (but they tended not to be used but they were meant to be used hahaha) and 4 rolling piano/furniture dollies.  Very simple and was awesome!!!  The kids had a blast and parents like me enjoyed watching it happen.

To keep the game fun– each round after they counted to see which team had the most balloons. They changed up the rules a bit. A parent had a football, basketball, volley ball available so as the game started they would toss one of the balls into the middle randomly and the teams knew if they captured one of the balls it was worth 5 points vs 1 point (balloons were 1 point each)  It made for excitement as well.  Great event and I loved watching the youth work as a team for a fun night!! I love our Young Men and Young Women and their leaders!! They rock my world!!
