Earth Day Dinner

Last year for Earth Day 2010 we set up our table for Earth Day. And we simply made Chicken with a mushroom sauce, rice and then brushetta with tomato and goat cheese & a tossed salad

The decorations were fun.  Saving the Earth means not having to use paper goods per say. Because that is wasteful. So for the day we refrained from anything that was a 1 time use.

Each of the kids got a new water bottle with their names on it. Found them at the local dollar store. The plates/bowls as well came from the dollar store.

We took rocks and added each persons name on it for a place holder.

The kids also got little wind up lady bugs in honor of Earth Day.

We used newspaper for our place mats to give it a reuse.

I boiled eggs blue and painted them to look like earths. I stood them up using a water bottle cap. And their Earth Balls I got at the dollar store, I had them place inside of a canning jar neck, so they didn’t roll all over the table and to have it as a reusable item.
