Garlic Shrimp Skewers

Another family favorite (I seem to say that alot lately but it is true) We have alot of favorites and Chad does a good job of coming up with them!

Ingredients-

1 lb of peeled and de-veined shrimp
3-4 tablespoons of olive oil
heaping pinch of coarse black pepper
heaping pinch of coarse salt
4 tablespoons of garlic powder (again we like garlic!!)

After you have peeled your shrimp, put them in a zip top bag, or a container. Add all ingredients and mix well and allow them to marinate in the refrigerator at least 30-45 minutes.

Place your shrimps onto wooden skewers. It is best to have soaked your skewers in water- so they do not burn as easily on the grill.  We place approximately 5 per skewer.

You can easily add your favorite vegetables to marinate in the same dressing (make another batch) and marinate veggies such as onions, green peppers, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms etc. And make kabobs.

Back to our recipe.  Place on the grill and cook about 2-3 minutes on each side. The larger they are they longer but they only need to turn light pink and turn over for another minute or so.

We enjoy them right off the skewers with our meals. Easy, quick and delicious addition to your meal!
